When Peter Garrett espoused dancing on the grave of Gina Rinehart, the Perth Festival organisers supported him by saying it was “artistic expression”. Make no mistake, Garrett was a failed politician, and as a minister in the Rudd/Gillard/Rudd governments, he oversaw the poorly planned and managed “pink batts” initiative, which actually sent some young people to their graves. One could imagine that the family and friends of those people who died on his watch may have a similar sentiment about him.
His outburst was not artistic expression but simply indecent and disrespectful utterances from a hypocrite.
